Privacy Policy
Last updated: September 2026. AI Markdown Generator is committed to transparent, privacy-first software development.
1. Overview & Scope
AI Markdown Generator ("we", "our", or "the plugin") is a software product built by SEOries. This Privacy Policy outlines the limited information processed when you use our static website (ai-markdown.seories.com) and when you install and operate the AI Markdown Generator WordPress plugin (Core and Pro editions) on your self-hosted WordPress installation.
2. Data Processing in the WordPress Plugin
The plugin is self-hosted software that runs directly on your WordPress server. We prioritize a Zero-PII (Personally Identifiable Information) architecture:
- Local Markdown Generation: Content parsing, DOM cleaning, and Markdown conversion occur entirely on your local server. No article contents, draft texts, or visitor data are transmitted to external servers for parsing.
- Audit Logging: The Pro audit log records only technical operational metadata (timestamp, target URL, HTTP status code, and cache state). No visitor IP addresses, personal data, or cookie identifiers are collected or stored.
- Local Cache Storage: Cached Markdown representations are stored in your WordPress database transients or local disk files under your direct administrative control.
3. License Activation & Payments (Lemon Squeezy)
We partner with Lemon Squeezy as our Merchant of Record and payment processing provider for AI Markdown Generator Pro licenses:
- Order Processing: When you purchase a Pro license ($49/year), transaction data (such as your name, email, billing address, and payment details) is securely handled by Lemon Squeezy in accordance with their privacy standards. We do not store or process your credit card information directly.
- License Verification: To activate your Pro add-on, the plugin sends your license key and site domain URL (e.g.
your-site.com) to Lemon Squeezy's License API to verify subscription validity and enforce activation seats.
4. Cloudflare Integration (Optional)
If you choose to enable the optional Cloudflare CDN Targeted Purge feature in the Pro add-on, your Cloudflare API token is stored securely in your local WordPress wp_options table. The plugin uses this token strictly to communicate with Cloudflare's API v4 to issue targeted cache purge requests for modified URLs.
5. Website Cookies & Tracking
Our static landing website (ai-markdown.seories.com) does not set advertising cookies or employ invasive third-party tracking scripts. The site is statically hosted for performance and security.
